Terms and Conditions.
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in one of our Landscape Photography Tours in Japan. By booking and participating in one of our tours, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Assumption of Risk:
1.1. Participants understand and acknowledge that landscape photography tours involve certain inherent risks and hazards. These risks include, but are not limited to, accidents, injury, illness, natural disasters, unpredictable weather conditions, transportation failures, and other unforeseen circumstances.
1.2. Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the landscape photography tour, including personal injury and property damage.
Health and Fitness:
2.1. Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical fitness and suitability for the tour. It is recommended that participants consult with a healthcare professional regarding any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns.
2.2. Participants must inform the tour organizers of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions that may affect their participation or require special attention during the tour.
Insurance:
3.1. Participants are responsible for obtaining their own comprehensive travel insurance, including medical coverage, for the duration of the tour. The tour organizers are not liable for any expenses, losses, or damages incurred due to the participant's failure to obtain adequate insurance coverage.
Conduct and Safety:
4.1. Participants are expected to adhere to the instructions, rules, and regulations provided by the tour organizers, guides, and local authorities throughout the tour.
4.2. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and equipment during the tour. The tour organizers are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
4.3. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner towards other participants, guides, local communities, and the environment.
Workshop Cancellation:
5.1. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met or in the event of an emergency.
5.2. In the event of an emergency where the assigned guide, cannot personally attend, our first option will be to provide a replacement guide.
5.3. If a cancellation occurs, participants will have the following options:
a. Apply the workshop fee towards a future workshop.
b. Receive a full refund of the workshop fee.
Travel Expenses:
6.1. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses incurred in relation to the workshop.
6.2. We strongly recommend participants to obtain travel insurance to cover such costs.
Changes and Cancellations:
7.1. A change fee of $200 will be charged for any changes or cancellations.
7.2. Participants who cancel prior to 90 days before the workshop have the following options:
a. Receive a full refund or credit towards a future workshop, minus the change fee.
7.3. Cancellations within 90 days of the workshop cannot be refunded, except in the following circumstance:
a. If we are able to fill the vacancy, the participant will receive a credit towards a future workshop, minus the change fee.
7.4. Workshop credits are valid for one calendar year from the date of the missed workshop.
Cancellations within 30 Days:
8.1. Any cancellations within 30 days of the workshop, for any reason, will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.
8.2. In the case of a true emergency arising last minute, we will make efforts to work with the participant and may grant a partial credit towards a future workshop, but this is not guaranteed.
8.3. Once again, we strongly recommend participants to have travel insurance in place to mitigate unforeseen circumstances.
Limitation of Liability:
9.1. The tour organizers and their employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, losses, injuries, or expenses arising from the landscape photography tour.
9.2. The tour organizers shall not be liable for any delays, disruptions, or cancellations caused by acts of nature, force majeure, civil unrest, government actions, or any other circumstances beyond their control.
Indemnification:
10.1. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the tour organizers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from their participation in the landscape photography tour.
By booking and participating in the Landscape Photography Tour in Japan, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
